The Strada was developed by a Street Team, bringing together groups of specialists. The team members, including WBC winners and other hot shots from the espresso world, investigated all aspects of espresso techniques. This search culminated in a revolutionary innovation: Real Pressure Profiling!
An increase in the supply of single-origin coffees, together with the many variables in harvesting- and processing methods, means of transport and storage, resulted in the demand for much higher standards in espresso techniques. The Strada provides a state of the art answer for baristas who want to control every step of the extraction process. The question was, how to give a barista even more opportunity to make the most of the unique taste profile in each coffee?
Body, acidity and aroma are highly influenced by the level of pressure during the brewing process. Real pressure profiling enhances the fresh and the sweet characteristics in a coffee. With the Strada, the level of pressure can be adjusted during the extraction process. Once the desired pressure profile is found, it can be saved electronically to be used for further extractions.
