Vienna here we come

This June Vienna will be the playground for the best baristas from around the world. The Dutch team is looking forward to this thrilling event and is now orientating on accommodation and all kinds of things where you would never think of if you were just a tourist visiting Vienna. As always DBC Champion 2011 Coen van Sprang is the big organisor. Some people even say that:

....his planning skills and detailed schedules are considered as a benchmark for the Deutsche Bundesbahn (German railway).

Of course many people form around the world will not come just for the coffee, but also to visit Vienna itself. The city evolved  - after the break-down of the wall - from a somewhat forgotten corner on Europe's map to a cultural center and a crossing point between Asia and Europe.

The New York Times published a useful guide if you were to visit Vienna just for 36 hours. Good reading.

Users of iPhones should definitely download Lonely Planet's Vienna City Guide

SpecialtyCoffee.nl will come with updates in due time to give you advise about restaurants and other things to do in Vienna. Please feel free to share you tips!
